Let’s face it: this Apple Tablet — (whatsitgonnabecalled? -> iTablet? MacBook Touch?) — has been a long time coming. And now Mac fanbois everywhere are going ape crazy on the possibility of Steve Jobs’ version of the netbook might launch in January — to the point that it is making Apple stocks a very tasty proposition. The San Francisco Chronicle’s website, SFGate.com reports here:
Apple Inc. shares hit an all-time high Thursday as reports surfaced of a January unveiling of a new Internet tablet.
The Financial Times reported Wednesday that Apple has reserved the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco for a big announcement on Jan. 26, according to people familiar with the plans.
The New York Times on Wednesday confirmed the existence of an upcoming tablet, quoting a senior Apple employee who said, “Let’s just say (Apple CEO) Steve (Jobs) is extremely happy with the new tablet.”
The news has fired up Apple watchers and has many observers expecting a January premiere of Apple’s tablet.

Apple Tablet - artist's rendition #2
MacPCWiz says, “Not too shabby, eh?” On the downside, no information yet about expansion ports — USB, FireWire – surely there would be some, yeah? We all know about the problems with the MacBook Air USB port, and I doubt if Apple would like to have another one of those issues. A couple of USB ports — for a portable hard drive maybe or even an external DVD or Blu-Ray drive would be good enough for us.
If you read from the first article, Apple has already booked a venue for a major announcement this January. Fanbois, you can go ahead and keep your fingers crossed for this one.

My hat goes off to you.
Thank you for your great article. I also must say that your blog design is a pleasure to view. Keep up the good work.
I’ve loved Apple products for some time, they produce gadgets that is visually beautiful while working like a champ. Alot of companies aren’t able to say that, it’s typically one or the other. Tech businesses don’t usually take aesthetics seriously like Apple. With me stating that I’ve got to say that I’m very excited about the new iSlate. One thing I question though, is it too soon? I think that this product may be ahead of its time. What do you think?
hi Rozanne.
Experience has shown us a number of things, one is that a product ahead of its time usually blows the competition away.
With Apple’s tablet, there’s a big possibility that it might just be another game-changer from Apple. We’ll only have to wait a bit to see.
Thanks for visiting MacPCWiz.
