Microsoft: Mixed signals on Blu-Ray for Xbox 360

Like a monkey you just can’t get off your back, Microsoft is faced with an issue that just won’t go away — Blu-Ray for the Xbox 360 console. Over and over, it has said “No, we’re not gonna have that”, but over and over these rumors refuse to go away. A recent Gizmodo sit down with Steve Ballmer led with a headline exclaiming a Blu-ray add-on for Xbox was coming.

1st ever PlayStation3 Mod Chip?

Sony has been quite successful in deterring game piracy for its PlayStation 3 (PS3) console so far. However, this may be about to change if a rumored Belzar mod chip turns out to be real. Besides supporting PS2 and PS3 bootleg games, the hardware-based hack promises many other functions ranging from stealth mode (read: to make the chip harder to detect by Sony) to region-free DVD/Blu-ray Disc playback.
