YouTube announced on its blog yesterday that beginning next week it will support full 1080p HD videos, up from its current maximum of 720p. We all know that Google is putting all of its strength behind its “cloud” mechanisms to date. The upgrade is the latest attempt from YouTube, and indeed Google, to increase the quality of its videos and bolster the strength of its network.
